Planning your next corporate event? Take a new look at Larchfield Estate
Benjamin Franklin once said ‘By failing to prepare, you are preparing to fail’. Preparation and planning is central to all successful events (however big or small!) and with Larchfield’s events team on hand to manage each corporate booking - an event here won’t ‘fail’ to impress your guests.
As a testament to our corporate event management team, we were delighted to welcome back Kainos this year who hosted their staff and family BBQ for the second year running on the estate. By utilising both the outside and indoor spaces, Kainos took full advantage of the walled gardens and courtyard for their 150 guests, and installed inflatable castles, magicians and face painting, much to the delight of the younger guests. A gourmet BBQ was served out in the courtyard which guaranteed guests were kept well fed throughout the evening.
On a more formal note, the team worked with Inform Communications for the prestigious CIPD Annual Awards which were hosted on site for the first time in May this year. The early summer sun shone and the 200 guests enjoyed a champagne reception in the sunken garden followed by a fantastic awards ceremony in the Barn where the award winners and guests celebrated until the early hours.Although we love to help with larger events, we are also very happy to assist with smaller requests and recently helped one of our corporate clients host a series of meetings for 16 key personnel on site in the Stables. The Stables is a more intimate event space which provides excellent privacy for those important off site meetings, and is fully equipped to support presentations with an in house projector, screen and audio system available.
Last week we again ran two simulated game days which are becoming very popular with corporate clients. The format has 4 people lined up shooting at the same time (therefore no pressure) with 12 clay pigeon traps firing out a variety of targets (some from 45ft cherry pickers parked on hills with normal and midi clays) at the same time. These days are ideal for groups around 16 people but can easily be tailored for larger or smaller groups.
We also recently had a fishing club come in for an evening’s fly fishing on one of our lakes. They had a superb evening and caught over 20 fish between 1.5lb and 3.5lb. They then enjoyed a walk around the gardens before heading to the Pheasant Pub across the road for a meal.
This week – we are hosting a Halo event and have a group from Pernod Ricard on site for 4 days on a custom made programme including accommodation; Estate walks; Team sessions with ?What If! and private dining in various locations around the Estate.
We have some superb cottages on site for a unique stay and will shortly be able to accommodate over 20 people.
