The Wonderful life of Larchfield's Walled Gardens

Jan 03 2018

We have some exciting news for our beautiful Larchfield gardens this week. We are planning and planting!

We love creating understated elegance. Our newest additions will splash silvers, pinks, and blues over our already stunning space. And we can't wait for these romantic flowers to bloom in time for our 2018 spring and summer time weddings! For those weddings on frostier days we are adding a dash of colour with crab apple trees near the Fish Pond Lake which will last all year long. All new rose additions to the gardens will be evergreen and we can't wait to see them hold flower year round.

Our vision coming to life in spring 2018

Many purchases have been made from Parkers such as Pheasant Eye Daffodils and plentiful Agapanthus. We are especially excited for the purple cones of Wisteria which will drape from the stone enclosures of the Walled Gardens much like it already does in our fragrant Glasshouse.

Our original potting shed will enjoy a new Clematis C Montana Rubens, adding pink soft hues alongside the planned cream colour of Artemisia Lactiflora.

Rambling rose will fit in perfectly when it blooms with it's wild and earthy look. Ceanothus will also be joining the Walled Garden and when in season will add height.

Many more seeds and bulbs are to be planted in the new year and we will keep you updated on our plans!
