Saint Valentine

Feb 14 2013

Well it’s Valentine’s Day and we are all know what a special day it is for most couples!

Did you know that in the second half of the 20th century, the practice of exchanging cards was extended to all manner of gifts. Such gifts typically include roses and chocolates packed in a red satin, heart-shaped box. In the 1980's, the diamond industry began to promote Valentine’s Day as an occasion for giving jewellery – we’re not adverse to this (say the girls in the office!).

So if the love of your life gets down on a bended knee and asks you THE question, we know you’ll be searching for the perfect venue for your wedding – needless to say we have a few ideas on where this might be. We’re big believers in it being your day and the team (there's four of us full time in the office) at Larchfield take great pride in making this happen – we’re here to help whenever and wherever you would like us to throughout the planning process.

Finally, just remember the most important thing to do once you get engaged is to enjoy your engagement! It can be very easy to get caught up in planning a wedding, but remember that your wedding is really about the two of you wanting to spend the rest of your lives together - your marriage and not just about having a party. Remember to keep the big picture in mind, because your wedding will last a day, but your marriage will last a lifetime.

For those of you who are already engaged and are counting down the days to your big day at Larchfield Estate we hope you have an absolutely fabulous Valentine’s Day.
