Arriving through a large set of gates, you travel slowly along the drive surrounded by rhododendrons, wildflowers, fir trees and even some alpacas and miniature donkeys – the 1700’s Georgian mansion peeking though the greenery. Turning right, you come along towards the 1800’s stone stables, before your master of ceremonies greets you and warmly welcomes you to Larchfield Estate. Step out of the car, take a deep breath, and just take a little moment to take in the rustic surroundings, set deep in the heart of the County Down countryside and steeped in heritage and history. You are about to take a short walk to meet the one you adore, with your nearest and dearest friends and family just buzzing to witness the magical love between you both! Enjoy every single moment...
Two people, joining together during the ceremony of your choice in the rustic stables, or beautiful walled gardens – this is your day, and here at Larchfield Estate we are here to make it all happen! Helping you imagine the overall feel of the day, down to coordinating the finer details which make it personal to you, our one-wedding per day policy ensures that all attention is focused solely on you both – this is your day, and on this, your wedding day, the Larchfield Estate barn and gardens are exclusively yours.
Following the exchange of vows, join your guests for a sparkling glass, before exploring the breath-taking grounds for the most stunning photo opportunities. Take a stroll down to the fishpond lake, kept private for the happy couple, getting some more pictures taken along the way, before heading back towards the gardens, courtyard and orangery to re-join the craic with your guests just a few minutes away.
As the evening approaches, make your way towards the rustic barn, twinkling with fairy lights, and a scrumptious meal created using lots of fresh local produce waiting for you. Speeches from those who know you best, to make you all smile, laugh, and perhaps even shed a few tears (happy ones of course!), before hitting the dance floor and dancing the night away!
It doesn’t have to end there… wander back to the cosy 1800’s stone cottages, for a relaxed nights sleep, before waking up to a luxurious and filling breakfast. We also have options to continue celebrations a little longer, with a chilled post-wedding brunch or BBQ. After all, who wants the best day of your life to end too soon!
