The Stables at Larchfield is located in the original 19th century store house & stables building, with a beautiful, cobblestone courtyard. Recently finished to the highest standard and in keeping with the rest of the estate, The Stables offers a picturesque and new addition to the Larchfield offering. With its period red window frames and old well, it creates a wedding location full of character and bursting with photo opportunities.

Entrance Porch
Leading on from the cobbled courtyard the entrance area features the original windows, including stained glass made by the current owners grandfather and interior stone walls. The perfect spot for some champagne and canapés to welcome your guests.

The Main Room
From the moment guests step into the entrance space, The Stables at Larchfield offers an inviting mix of thoughtful recent finishes and original features. The deep set period windows and the inviting wrought iron chandeliers create a warm and welcoming space perfect for indoor ceremonies or for more intimate weddings. The newness of the interior provides a fresh offering in the beautiful old setting that is Larchfield.

The Hallway
Leading from the main room through tall double doors (ideal for a bridal entrance) is another area suitable for reception drinks and photos. This leads through to newly installed cloakrooms, styled in a traditional feel the doors were made by one of the estate workmen.

Across the cobbled courtyard is a large covered area – ideal for setting up a BBQ, Paella pan, Nan oven or Hog Roast.

The Stables has both an entertainments and civil ceremony license, and of course can accommodate religious ceremonies if a license is acquired by the couple. Please get in touch for further details.

The Stables is ideally suited to those smaller wedding parties of 50 and under and can be booked separate to the main barn and in conjunction with the 4 acre walled gardens. Please see booking form and prices for details. Please note that The Stables is not available if we have a wedding in The Barn as we always offer exclusive use.

The Stables can also be booked in conjunction with the main barn as:
- an area for your wedding ceremony – if the weather is wet or cold (licensed for up to 172 closely seated)
- for drinks and canapés
- for indoor photos
- as a crèche
- for an extra-large bridal room / somewhere for grandparents to put their feet up…

Car Parking
Parking is provided in a tree lined paddock adjoining the walled garden, or there is ample space in the car park behind the barn. The courtyard can of course also be used for parking, but is probably best used for some wonderful photo opportunities.

The Walled Gardens
As well as the Stables area and courtyard you would also have exclusive use of the estate’s private walled gardens, which have been lovingly restored over many years by the current owners. Over 4 acres in size they provide an elegant backdrop for drinks and canapés in warmer months and, being a short walk from The Stables, offer a superb location for photography year round. The Walled Gardens are also licensed for civil ceremonies.

Exclusive Use
The Stables will only be booked for days when Larchfield Barn is not booked; therefore you can still enjoy the benefit of the exclusive use of Larchfield for your ceremony and reception.
