Larchfield Barn is located in the picturesque main courtyard (see garden and courtyard plan), which was originally built in the nineteenth century. Over recent years it has been converted to its current high specification as a unique venue for private hire. Its large size (can sit up to 264 people in the main barn area) and versatility (see floor plan) make it ideal for a multitude of functions. The Walled Gardens and Larchfield Barn are fully licensed for Civil Ceremonies. Please ask for further details.


The Main Hall
The stone walls in the Main Hall are painted – providing a natural warm ambience in the evenings. The large wooden beams crossing the hall, with wrought iron chandeliers hanging from them, create an impressive and memorable environment. Various lighting options, along with the ability to decorate the surroundings, allow for the creation of specific ambiances for differing events.

Bar and Lounge Area
Located through an arched doorway from the main hall and dance floor, the lounge area also has an entrance onto the main courtyard. The natural stone walls and the red carpet give a cosy atmosphere which can be enjoyed as a reception room on arrival or to relax in after an event in the main hall.

The wooden bar has ample space to store all your glasses and drinks and provides a large bar area to serve from.

The Dance Floor
Easily accessed through arched doorways from both the main barn and the bar, it is ideal for dancing the night away, without having to deafen those in adjoining rooms! This room is also ideal for a variety of uses, as it has a solid oak floor.


Kitchen
There is a fully equipped kitchen with a very generous preparation area. It is preferred that the kitchen is used by our recommended caterers; however we are happy to discuss the possibility of using other caterers.

Entrance Marquee
There is a marquee provided. This provides an extra area for serving tea/coffee/champagne should you not wish to use the gardens.

Bridal Room / Lockable room
If required a separate lockable room can be provided in the Main Courtyard.

Car Parking
Parking is provided in a tree-lined paddock adjoining the walled garden or there is ample space in the carpark behind the barn. Please note that any vehicles left on site are at the owners own risk and all vehicles must be removed from Larchfield Estate at the end of the event.

The Walled Gardens
The Private Walled Gardens have been lovingly restored over many years by the current owners. They provide an elegant backdrop for functions and photography and are particularly stunning during the summer months with a profusion of colourful blossom.


Preparing for the Day
We know from experience how much time and effort goes into preparing for your wedding and the Larchfield Team are on hand to help with any contacts you may need for example bar staff, DJ's, bands, flowers, local B&B's (many of whom do a courtesy drop off and pick up for guests), bus companies etc - in order to help the day and the planning run efficiently. We are on hand to help whenever and wherever we can throughout the planning stages.

On the Day
Larchfield will provide an Estate Representative to help the day go smoothly.
